Circles of Energy are interactive, large-scale artworks which aim to create wholeness and harmony within spaces and people through use of the healing power of colors, shapes and sounds. They are imagined as art sanctuaries which calm the restless mind and nourish the weary soul in busy urban environments such as squares, railway stations and airports where the levels of noise and stress are high. All passersby are invited to enter the circle, spend few quiet moments surrounded by soothing colors, shapes and sounds and leave it with a feeling of restored peacefulness and calm.
The healing power of sounds and colors was well known to the ancient Indian and Chinese cultures who believed that human beings come from the heaven of light and sound. Thus, they believed that colors and sounds have the power to restore that heavenly connection and reestablish the harmony and unity within individuals and between individuals and their surroundings.
Recent scientific research has also shown that different energy channels and organs in our bodies resonate at different frequencies. These frequencies correspond to different colors and their specific frequency. By using color we can direct energy to those areas of our bodies which need healing and “recharge” them with new fresh energy.

The circle, element of the spirit and a powerful symbol of wholeness, unity and equality represents a perfect shape which allows undisturbed flow of the sound and color frequencies. Within the circle everyone is equal (there’s no one in front, above or behind you), the hierarchy of the outside world seizes to exist, there is a free flow of energy and harmony is restored.
The Circles of Energy unites the harmony of the circle with the power of colors, shapes and sounds creating a unique space for contemplation, harmony and calm in the hectic urban world. Just like a small stone thrown in the water creates many circles which grow bigger, we would like to see the Circles of Energy multiply and grow. We believe that the project has the potential to create many morecircles and spread in new spaces. It could involve new enthusiastic artists from any corner of the world who believe in the healing power of art.
